Day 1: TTA Master Class
Since the first TTA course in 2004, over 70,000 TTAs have been performed by more than 700 surgeons world-wide, using the KYON system. We have continued to improve the hardware and technique, shortening the learning time, reducing complications, and improving case selection. To communicate these lessons, we will be hosting a TTA Master Class on Friday, September 10th in Boston, MA. This course will be followed, on Saturday, by an ALPS (Advanced Locking Plate System) and Patellar Groove Prosthesis (NEW from KYON) workshop.
Join us for a full day of lectures and discussion on TTA, followed by a closing dinner, courtesy of KYON. The content of this event is designed for experienced TTA surgeons. [If you would like to learn TTA, please find an upcoming TTA Course here>>.

Day 2: Principles of Osteosynthesis w/ ALPS & Patellar Groove Workshop
Join us for a workshop on the Advanced Locking Plate System (ALPS) and the NEW KYON Patellar Groove Prosthesis. The objective of the instructional course is to review the key principles of osteosynthesis, introduce the ALPS system, provide hands-on instruction through the use of bone models, and to maximize the advantages of ALPS in common dog and cat fractures. Technical features include: bending possible in both planes, locking or regular screws in all holes, non-fretting locking screw system, titanium and titanium alloy for supreme biocompatibility, geometry optimized for strength, and a wide range of sizes.
This will be our first workshop introducing the Patellar Groove Prosthesis. The Patellar Groove Prosthesis, designed as an alternative to trochlear wedge recession, provides immediate stabilization and simplifies the correction of patellar luxation. The prosthesis can be adjusted medially or laterally on the femur. The prosthesis does not eliminate malalignment of the femur and/or tibia or associated tendons and/or ligaments.
