Introduction

We at Movora, the MedTech vertical of Vimian Group AB (publ.) (in compliance with Vimian’s Data Protection Policy) make protecting your privacy a priority and ensure that your right to privacy is respected. This policy describes how we make sure that the personal data you provide is treated with the highest level of confidentiality.

Some of the countries in which we operate have laws that require us to share specific privacy information with our customers and users in those countries. As such, this Privacy Policy is comprised of two sections – a globally applicable statement and region-specific rights.

As the data controller and responsible party for processing your personal data, Movora, LLC, Reg. No. 36-4968289 and KYON AG, (“KYON”, “we”, “us”, “our”) reg. no. CHE 100.420.064 are joined data controllers and are responsible for the processing of your data. We provide you with this Privacy Policy to keep you informed about how and when we collect, use, share, or process personal data.

The information in this policy applies to Movora’s processing of personal data on company websites, as well as Movora’s processing of information off the website.

 

Information We Collect

We may collect personal data about you when you visit our events, use our websites, or otherwise interact with us. The information we collect falls into three categories: information you provide to us, information we collect through automated methods when you use our services, and information we receive from third parties and events.

Generally, you are under no obligation to provide your personal data. However, in certain cases, we may be unable to provide you with our services unless you provide your personal data.

We may combine the information you provide to us with information that we collect through automated methods, and with information we receive from third parties.

 

What Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect different types of personal data from you that you may provide:

Account Information – We may collect login credentials (related to your account), consumer profile, username, alias, surnames, practice names, veterinary license numbers, purchasing groups, corporate chains, business address, degrees, credential title (DVM, RVT, etc.), registered products’ history, browsing history, cart contents, product shopping list, loyalty programs, and purchase history.

Audio, Electronic, Visual and Similar Information – We may collect images, audio, video, live streaming, or call recordings that are generated in relation to our business endeavors during events, educational workshops, webinars, and tradeshows. It’s important to note that we only collect images submitted by you or captured during an event when explicit consent is provided.

Connected Products Information – We may collect usage information while you use any of our connected products.

Contact Information – We may collect your name, email address, phone number, fax number, address, and country of residence.

Demographic Characteristics – We may collect the country of residence, age, affiliation, industry, education, profession, trade

Device Information – We may collect technical information associated with the device you use, such as the device type and model, system language, browser type, geographical location, and operating system, and technical identifiers that identify the device you use, such as IP address, and other unique identifiers.

Education Information – We may collect information concerning attendance at workshops, courses, or webinars, continued education progress, education status, history, procedures performed, scrub size, specific dietary or allergy information (for example latex allergy or nut allergy), and emergency contact.

Event Information – We may collect or you may provide us information concerning tradeshows or conferences you attend, and participation in our programs at industry events.

Preferences – We may collect your preferences, either based on purchasing habits or information about your preferences, including your preferred payment method, purchased, viewed, and recommended products, your preferred language, and your preferences regarding marketing communications and use of cookies.

Professional Characteristics – We may collect information such as your trade, industry, job title, role, profession, and experience.

Promotion History – We may collect details of your participation in giveaways or promotions.

Physical Location – We may collect your physical location, including your precise geolocation derived from your IP address, GPS coordinates, use of our connected products, interactions with our emails, or your manually selected location, zip code or postal code, depending on your preferences.

Relationship History – We may collect details of your contact with us, as well as order history.

Social Media Information – We may collect your name, email address, photo, list of social media contacts, and any other information that may be publicly accessible.

Transactional Information – We may collect purchase and order information and payment details, including debit or credit card details, bank account information when auto-draft payment option is requested, VAT or EORI numbers, or other tax identification number, shipping addresses, and billing addresses.

Usage Information – We may collect information concerning your browsing behavior or activities, your purchasing patterns and trends, and engagement, such as how long you visit a page, what links you click on, what pages you visit, how many times you visit a page and how long it takes for you to come back.

User Content – We may collect information related to customer satisfaction surveys, customer requests or queries, and other content you may create, such as posts on our social media pages, along with any related name, username, alias, or other account information.

 

Information We Collect Automatically

We will directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our service. These tools collect information sent by your browser or device, including the pages you visit and other information that assists us in improving the service. Information We Receive From Third Parties

Apart from the data we collect from you, we also obtain the types of data listed above from various other sources, such as co-sponsors, advertising partners, internet service providers, educational events, promotional events, data analytics providers, social networks, operating systems and platforms, and publicly available sources. If you provide any personal data about other individuals to us or our partners while using our services, you confirm that you have the necessary permission to do so and that we may use that information in accordance with the Privacy Policy provided on the brand website you are accessing.

This Privacy Policy only applies to our own services and does not cover the privacy policies, data handling practices, or actions of any third parties, including those that operate websites or services that are linked to or accessed through our services. We are not responsible for any practices of such third parties, and we do not endorse any such linked sites or services.

Data minimization is a fundamental principle of our data processing practices. We collect and process only the minimum amount of personal data necessary to provide our services to you, to fulfill our legal obligations, and to pursue our legitimate interests. We strive to contractually prohibit these service providers and business partners from retaining, using, or disclosing your confidential personal data for any purpose other than performing agreed upon services for us.

We Work on Business Transactions – If we become involved with a merger, corporate transaction or another situation involving the transfer of some or all of our business assets, we may share your information with business entities or people involved in the negotiation or transfer.

When You Post on Our Websites – If you post information on a blog or another part of our websites, the information that you post may be seen by other visitors to our websites.  We are not responsible for the information you choose to submit in these public areas.

 

Sharing and Selling Your Personal Information

Movora does not sell (as “sell” is traditionally defined or defined under most states’ laws) your personally identifiable information to anyone else. That is, we don’t provide your name, phone number, address, email address or other personally identifiable information to third parties in exchange for money.

But under California law, certain sharing of information for advertising purposes may be considered a “sale” of “personal data.” California residents have the right to opt-out of the “sale” of personal data, and we’ve made it easy for a resident of any state to stop the information transfers that might be considered such a “sale” from our website.

 

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Like many other website owners and operators, we utilize commonly used tools such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, local shared objects, and similar technologies to collect information about you so we can provide the experiences you request, recognize your visit, track your interactions, and improve your and other customers’ experiences. However, you may not opt out of Service-related communications (e.g., account verification, purchase and billing confirmations and reminders, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices).

Where required under applicable laws, you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. or any other country in which Movora or its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates or service providers maintain facilities and the use and disclosure of information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

Cross Border Transfers

We may transfer your personal data to other countries where our affiliates and service providers are located. Please note that some of these countries may have data protection laws that are different from your country (and, in some cases, may not be as protective). For Movora users in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland or UK, for transfers of your information to a third-party provider that is not located in Europe, and is not in a country that benefits from an adequacy decision by the European Commission, we will require those third-party providers to enter into an agreement that provides appropriate safeguards for your information, including by using the EU Model Clauses, Swiss Standard Contractual Clauses,  and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

We do not intend for our websites or online services to be used by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, sell, or share information of children under the age of 13.
